2010: time for a change

Friends, readers, and soul-siblings, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!!

(Is soul-sibling a word? I sort-of like it!)

Did you have a good holiday? Is your 2010 off to a marvelous start? I hope so. I spent Christmas in southern California, where I got to meet my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's brand new baby girl, just 2 days old. What a miracle babies are. It was so strange, holding this tiny little thing that 2 days before had not yet ever been in this world. What a strange, mysterious, and mind-boggling place our universe is. I grasp the wonder of it all in tiny glimpses, and then it goes away and all I see is the physical world through my eyes again. This year I am going to practice connecting to that mystery. We'll see what happens.

I love this time of year- I'm a sucker for the opportunities for renewal and fresh starts that the new year brings. Which brings me to an announcement that I've been mulling over for a while now.

The announcement is this: Pecannoot's little life is shifting direction. I will no longer be writing posts here, but am instead going to be using my website as a vehicle for this theme of abundance and positivity. I'll be posting several times a week, but the images will be all my own.

So, that said, I invite you all to please come with me over to my website to be a part of this fresh start with me! You can subscribe to the site and/or get email updates sent directly to you, so you'll get my brand new content first thing.

You might be asking yourself "why the change?"

My answer: I'm simplifying and streamlining in 2010. It's felt like too much keeping two blogs up to date along with everything else that goes on in my day to day life and work, and I haven't been giving either the attention that I'd like. So I'm shifting things around to see what's going to work best. (I have an inkling that many of you know exactly what I'm talking about, because you're all so motivated, compassionate, and hard-working! Sometimes it just ends up being too much, right?)

Thanks so much for all your comments, support, and love here on Pecannoot- let's keep it rolling, just in a new place, eh?

Here's to a focused, streamlined, and abundant 2010, and I'll look for you all over at my new abundance hangout spot!

  6. Good for you- it is so easy to feel overwhelmed. I have a hard time keeping up with my one blog- I can see that two would be exhausting (with all of the other things to do) I am wishing you the best Jess :) Off to visit your website now...

  7. I completely understand what you are talking about. That's the same reason I haven't visited your blog for almost a month even though it's my favorite! It just gets to be too much. While I'm sad to see Pecannoot come to an end, I'm really happy for you and your simplified life. I hope I can take some cues from you because I have also been feeling overwhelmed. O.k. I'm heading over to your website and am excited for that!
