
there is something so abundant about fireworks. i love the feeling of wonderment i get while staring up at the sky watching them, and how everyone can share in the joy of how beautiful they are.

these photographs are long-exposure shots of fireworks by 2 different photographers-- the first and last photo here are from code.name.JaL - [ away ]'s flickr photostream, and the middle 3 are from luke o'rourke's flickr photostream. i think they're amazing. long-exposure photography feels so magical to me, because it's not something you can see with your eyes. it's all about the camera.

if you are in the USA, i hope you have a fantastic holiday weekend with lots of fireworks!! i'll see you on monday (hopefully with some amazing long-exposure shots of my own to share!)
