teresa roche's new puppies!

My dear friend Teresa sent over these adorable photos of her new German Shephard puppies recently, and I just can't stop looking at them! AS someone who's just recently gotten a pet (our sweet kitty, Anika, has been with us for 2 months now, and we are so in love with her), I can completely relate to what Teresa says about her pups:

Skyy and Savannah are the sunshine of our lives. They bring us joy, belly laughs and so much unconditional love. My husband and I feel like our lives have started over since our babies came along. One ear up and one ear down, the slight tilt of the head as they listen intently – no back talk – this is true abundance! They are five months old and we are totally in love!!

There's something about having a pet that just makes life a little brighter! Do you all have pets? Tell me about them in the comment section!

And make sure you check out Teresa's website and blog-- she owns an amazing gallery called Art & Light in Greenville, SC, which is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. (And the gallery is housed in a building with the studios of this lovely lady as well! Oh, and this one, too!)

*Thanks, Teresa!!*

  1. OMG!! They are SO cute!! We used to have dogs in Jakarta - three of them were German Shepard. My best friend was our Great Dane. I'm longing to have a dog here too, but the cost is too expensive. So, thank you so much for sharing these photos! xoxo

  2. Oh, melting!! And I'm very familiar with that head tilt.

I have a german shepherd too. His name is Shadow, since he follows us around like our shadows.

I drew him recently for my fiance's birthday. You can see it here:

He's my side-kick and keeps me company in my studio all day, for the small price of occasional belly rubs :)

  4. can't imagine life without them! echo bouvier, halle swissy & tinkerbell the wonder cat. halle is a silly girl who makes us laugh regularly, usually when she talks. come to think of it, echo does too, with his flying bouvie kisses and straight up in the air to a play bow move.....and they are both great exercise companions- no excuses! and tinkerbell- well, any cat that can teach, over the years, 3 bouviers & 1 greater swiss mountain dog who is really in charge (and who ambushes people on the sidewalk to make them pet her)- what more can i say? all 3 regularly pictured on my blog....

  6. They put a big smile on my face...isn't that what's so wonderful about pets? I don't have any of my own at the moment but would love to have a dog someday. My neighbor has a bug cute Burmese mountain dog and he is the sweetest ever. It's good to come home after a long day and give him a good petting. :)

  9. Teresa's puppies are adorable. I have a soft spot for German Shephards. I share my apartment with my beloved tuxedo cat, Mabel. She is my best friend and I love her dearly. Don't know what I do without her.

  11. I adopted my dog Ulu from the SPCA in September, she is the absolute best decision I have ever made. There is not a single day that she doesn't make me laugh, or smile, and the opportunity to spend a large part of my day thinking about and caring for something/someone that is not me, well that's an opportunity we don't always get, or take. You don't realize the abundance something can bring, the abundance you don't have, until it comes rolling over the edges in waves and floods. She is also gorgeous and gleeful. (and I am in love)

  12. ack! just what i needed!! so cute!! pets do make everything brighter.

the hubster and i have four meows. I had two and he had two when we moved in together, hence our fur-filled existence. despite the copious amounts of cat hair, it's pretty awesome. :-)
