everything will be alright

just a late night quicky here. my wedding photographer just cancelled on me, and i'm trying hard to remind myself that everything will be alright.

if anyone knows of an amazing (and inexpensive) photographer in the los angeles area, i will love you forever if you would pass on his or her name. feel free to email me!

  1. Oh No! I wish I were in your area- I'd totally do your wedding. Alas, I'm in Illinois. Good Luck!

  3. The universe is conspiring in your favor. You'll have a better, more affordable photographer in no time!
And this image is proof that sometimes last-minute stuff is genius. Love it.

  4. If you can't find one, take your photography dollars and buy a whole bunch of disposable cameras. Have ushers hand them out at the door or set them on the reception tables and have your attendants collect them from people on the way out.

No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. And, believe it or not, a few years down the line, you will still have a favorite photo or two and the rest will sit in an album. It's a marriage, not a wedding, that's important, right?

  5. I agree with PJ. Do it that way and it will be such a blast. Then when you have it developed you can make your own book. Go to Blurb.com. Also, if you want to take it even a bit further, find out who took them or from what table and name them under that particular photo in the book. Example: Photographer: Best Man or Photo by: Table 8 and list the names. It will be even more memorable! Just a thought.

    Sharing the love,
    Julia

  8. I highly recommend calling some of the arts universities in the area and asking if they have photographers they could recommend. That's what I did, and I couldn't have been happier!!

  9. i just had a pre-wedding fiasco. all my save-the-dates that i labored over and made myself, by hand, were all wrong(by our u.s post-office standards). had to overnight them to my mother to try and repair them. outllook not so good. josh goleman is our wedding photographer and he travels for weddings. google him. he's fantastic.
