open up the walls: by jaime derringer

when jaime derringer sent over a piece for pecannoot, i about jumped out of my seat, because this lady is *seriously* inspiring. not only is she an incredibly talented artist, she authors the fab blog design milk, twitters like a champ, and just started a new company (with also-fab blogger erin) called bakery, and somehow makes it all seem like a breeze. i promise, jaime is one to keep your eye on.

here is what she has to say about this gorgeous drawing, called 'open up the walls':

this drawing, and all my recent drawings, have been inspired by the idea of abundant celebration. i've been thinking a lot about the words party, birthday, extravaganza, confetti, sparklers, fireworks, streamers, etc. these have been a great influence on my recent work.

if i were you, i would click straight over to each and every one of jaime's links to see all the beauty she creates. here they are:

etsy shop (artwork)
etsy shop (knitted things- yep, she knits, too!)
design milk (blog)
bakery (they bake businesses!)

*thank you, jaime, so so much!!*
