peace love hope: by lindsay brackeen

happy monday morning to you all, pecannooters!
i hope your weekend was full of sunshine and fun (or rain and thunderstorms and snow if that makes you happier!)

i think this piece by lindsay brackeen is very timely to start off this week, what with the time change and the feeling of spring in the air, at least for me here in atlanta! doesn't it feel so springy and filled with air? i love it.

here is what lindsay has to say about her gorgeous illustration:

in my life I know there are times when I tend to focus on things in the world which i cannot control. i can stress about war, our country's leadership, the economy, etc...OR i can focus on the fact that i'm blessed with a wonderful family and nice group of friends that enrich my life daily. i'm a firm believer, that what you put into the world, will be what you get back. so this piece is a bit of a reminder to myself, that positive thoughts and actions are exactly what one needs to stay balanced in this life. i love this quote by wayne dyer, "everything you are against weakens you, everything you are for empowers you."

i find this to be so very very true.

let me just stress lindsay's point-- "what you put into the world will be what you get back."
that's a lot of responsibility, but what power! wow. seems that we can shape our own lives, eh? something to think about. :)

you can find lindsay's work in her etsy shop and on her blog-- and oh my, they are both full of goodies!

  1. You know Jess, I 'm so glad you started this blog. It's about being an optimist, looking at the margarita that is still to drink, not what has already gone down your gullet.

I am totally in this place right now, after what seems to be years of consciously trying to see the abundance, I am back to being an optimist.

I just can't see that optimism can hurt right now.

It certainly makes the living a lot better.

Love this illustration. The little sprouts coming out of the word/roots.
